Experts of the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) will speak before financial market participants on March 14, 2017, in Moscow.
The event will be opened by ACRA CEO Ekaterina Trofimova who will unveil the specifics of the reform in the Russian rating industry and outline the latter’s prospects in the current environment. Dmitry Kulikov, Expert of the Research and Forecasting Group at ACRA, will present the Agency’s 2017 macroeconomic outlook, also available in detail on the ACRA website at https://www.acra-ratings.com/research/88. His address will be followed by Bloomberg representatives dwelling upon the solutions their company offers to corporate clients.
Further on, ACRA’s Ekaterina Mozharova, Senior Director and Head of the Corporate Ratings Group, Alexander Gushchin, Senior Analyst of the Corporate Ratings Group, and Anton Shishov, Managing Director and Head of the Methodology Group, will present the Methodology for Credit Ratings Assignment to Non-Financial Corporations Under the National Scale for the Russian Federation and other methodologies applicable to corporate ratings.
“ACRA has put the methodology through a multi-stage validation process based on historical data from 140 companies representing 17 sectors and covering a 4-year period. The validation involved a variety of statistical tests, such as the accuracy ratio, the ROC-curve, the Herfindahl-Hirschman index, and multicollinearity indicators, while also accounting for yield spreads of securities placed by selected issuers and building rating migration matrices for 1 and 2-year horizons. The model development and factor selection were carried out with regard to the actual correlation of companies' operating performance indicators and their forecasting power (the Gini coefficient). The Bank of Russia has confirmed that the ACRA methodology complies with the requirements of Article 12 of the Federal Law No. 222-FZ,” says Ekaterina Mozharova.
The event is intended for corporate sector representatives only. To take part, guests are expected to register at https://www.bloomberg.com/event-registration/?id=63716. The number of available seats is limited.
ACRA also continues to conduct regular credit analysis trainings and is currently offering enrollment into its June 22-23, 2017 course on corporate credit analysis.
